Iran has OPEC’s 3rd top oil income

Data from US Energy Information Administration shows Iran with $54bn in oil income in the first half of 2008 ranks 3rd among OPEC members.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with total oil incomes of $192 billion and $61 billion respectively, were ahead of Iran in the oil income rankings.
Kuwait's total oil income in the first half of this year was $54 billion which was equivalent to Iran's oil revenue.
The total oil income of Iran in the first half of 2008 was only $3 billion shy of its oil income of $57 billion for the entire 2007.
The Energy Information Administration (EIA) report also indicates that the total oil income of OPEC members stood at $645 billion in the first half of 2008 compared to $671 billion for the entire 2007.
